Our mission is to create the first global digital fashion brand started on the blockchain. We aim to showcase the skills, craftsmanship and creativity of artisans from across the world; working at the intersection of fashion, textiles, art and music. We are kickstarting our journey through the issuance of high-quality NFT collectibles that tell their stories, highlight their craft, and preserve their legacy. NFT Series 1 - Les Sapeurs
The next 5 years will see a significant convergence of fashion, art and music. Les Sapeurs aims to be at the forefront of that revolution. We take our brand name from the adherents of the fashion subculture La Sape.
History
La Sape is an abbreviation based on the phrase Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes (French; literally “Society of Ambiance-Makers and Elegant People”).
La Sape hints at the French slang word sape which means “clothes” or sapé which means “dressed up”. It is a subculture originally centred on the cities of kinshasa and Brazzaville in the Democractic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo, but now has followers in many cities around the world. An adherent of La Sape is known as a “Sapeur” or if female a “Sapeuse“.
The movement embodies the elegance in style and manners of colonial predecessor dandies.

Cultural Influences
- Sapeurs were the focus of an advertising campaign by major brewery chain Diageo for the drink Guinness. (2014 – 2019).
- Sapeurs were prominently featured in the music video for Solange’s “Losing You.” (2012).
- Sapeurs are shown in a film 35 Cows and a Kalashnikov (2014), directed by Oswald von Richthofen.
- Sapeurs were featured in the music video All the Stars by the artist Kendrick Lamar (2018).
Copyright Licence
The NFT holder will have a worldwide licence to use the image attached to the NFT for commercial purposes. It can be used on merchandise or otherwise exploited for the commercial benefit of the NFT holder. If the NFT is sold, the copyright licence is automatically transferred to the new owner. Utility
NFT holders will receive a percentage of the profits made by the company through future consumers sales.
Release Date
Our “Les Sapeurs” NFT Series collection is planned for release on the Opensea platform in September 2022, and will be available for purchase on the Opensea platform thereafter.
